Convert WebP to JPG when an upload rejects your photo
If a destination accepts only JPG, renaming the extension is not enough. Convert the actual image format.
Check the background before saving
- Choose a WebP file. The default JPG background is white; change it if needed.
- Process, then compare Original and Preview to inspect transparent areas and text.
- Save the JPG and select it again at the upload destination.
Why did the file get larger?
Changing WebP to JPG changes compatibility, but does not always reduce file size. If the JPG exceeds an upload limit, compress the saved JPG next.
Other limits to check
JPG does not support transparency. Keep the original separately and verify size and pixel requirements. FileMori does not support animated images or HEIC input. Changing format does not resolve every upload error.

Changing the extension does not convert the file. JPG can be larger than WebP; check the destination’s limits.

Check small text and edges before using the result. A smaller file does not guarantee acceptance by the destination.
