What happens to transparency when PNG becomes JPG?
PNG can store transparent areas. JPG cannot. When converting a transparent PNG to JPG, you need to choose a background color.
White is the default
FileMori uses a white JPG background by default. Choose another color using the color picker. After processing, preview the result and check the edges of logos and text.
When you need transparency
Keeping the original PNG may be more appropriate for a logo that must sit on different backgrounds. This tool cannot restore transparency removed during JPG conversion.
Will the file always be smaller?
JPG can be efficient for photographic images with complex colors. PNG can be smaller for flat icons or simple shapes. Compare actual output sizes instead of assuming a format always wins.
Batch conversion
Your background and quality settings apply to every selected image. Process separate batches if you need different backgrounds. Download each result individually or save the batch as a ZIP.

Check small text and edges before using the result. A smaller file does not guarantee acceptance by the destination.
